# SILICONE ELASTOMER TIE COAT RAINBOW PAINTS ## Product Code RAINBOSLIP 1100 ## Type Silicone elastomer moisture-curing tie coat, designed for silicone non-fouling antifouling coating systems. ## Application For new shipbuilding or dry-dock ship repair projects. ## Properties 1. Improves adhesion of silicone non-fouling antifouling topcoat. 2. Fast drying speed. ## Specification Data - Color: Yellow - Gloss: Semi-gloss - Volume Solids: 70±2% - Recommended Film Thickness: Wet film 215 μm, Dry film 150 μm - Theoretical Coverage Rate: 4.7 ㎡/L (based on 150 μm dry film) - Compatible Primer: Rainboprime 806 or other epoxy primers recommended by Rainbow - Specific Gravity: 1.2 Kg/L ## Mixing & Thinning - Thinner: Not recommended; use No.807 Xylene for flushing if necessary - Mix Ratio: Base : Hardener = 9 : 1 (by weight) - Pot Life: 1 hour (25°C) ## Application Methods Airless spray, roller coating (for small-area touch-up only) ### Airless Spray Parameters - Nozzle size: 0.019" ~ 0.021" - Secondary air pressure: ≥ 6 Kg/cm² - Pressure ratio: 45 : 1 or higher ## Drying Time - Tack-free: Approx. 2 hours (25°C) - Hard dry: 6 hours (25°C) ## Recoating Interval ### Topcoat with Rainboslip 1200 - 10°C: Min. 24 hrs, Max. 48 hrs - 25°C: Min. 16 hrs, Max. 48 hrs - 35°C: Min. 12 hrs, Max. 48 hrs ### Overcoating Rainboslip 1100 as Primer - 10°C: Min. 8 hrs, Max. 24 hrs - 25°C: Min. 6 hrs, Max. 20 hrs - 35°C: Min. 4 hrs, Max. 16 hrs ## Storage Stability - Shelf Life: Base and hardener can be stored for 1 year under cool, dry conditions - Storage Temperature: Above 26°C (80°F) ## Precautions 1. Take full safety precautions during spraying; only open the lid right before use. 2. Fully stir base and hardener separately for 5 minutes before mixing. After blending per specified ratio, stir thoroughly for another 5 minutes prior to application. 3. To avoid cross-contamination, all coating equipment must be thoroughly cleaned before and after use of this product. 4. The substrate surface must be clean and dry; apply strictly following Rainbow’s specified coating system procedures. 5. Application is not recommended below 10°C.
