# Rainbow Aqua 1017 RAINBOW PAINTS ## Product Code Rainbow aqua 1017 ## Common Name Water-Based Epoxy Potable Tank Coating ## Type Two-component waterborne topcoat formulated with water-based epoxy resin, special hardener and water-resistant pigments. ## Application Topcoat for fresh water tanks, seawater tanks and aquaculture tanks. ## Properties 1. Water-based formula, non-toxic, odor-free, tap water as thinner, non-flammable 2. Hard yet flexible coating film with excellent abrasion resistance 3. Outstanding resistance to water, oil and various chemicals 4. Single spray coat achieves 100 μm dry film thickness 5. Will not contaminate drinking water ## Specification Data - Color: White or other custom specified colors - Specific Gravity: ≥1.3 Kg/L (mixed paint) - Viscosity: ≥80 KU (mixed paint, 25°C) - Drying Time - Tack-free: Within 5 hours - Hard dry: Within 8 hours - Full cure: 7 days (25°C) - Film Thickness: Wet film 192 μm, Dry film 100 μm - Theoretical Coverage: 19.0 ㎡/Gal, 5.1 ㎡/L, 3.9 ㎡/Kg - Recoating Interval: Min. 8 hours, Max. 7 days - Mix Ratio: Base : Hardener = 20 : 80 (by weight) - Non-Volatile Content: Above 60% - Volume Solids: 52±2% - Pot Life: 1 hour (mixed paint at 25°C) - Compatible Primer: Rainbow aqua 1073 Water-Based Epoxy Cement Primer - Thinner: Tap Water - Thinner Dosage: 5~15% (excluding tool cleaning) ## Application Methods Airless Spray, Brush Coating, Conventional Spray ## Spraying Parameters Air pressure ≥ 4 KG, Pressure ratio ≥ 33:1; Nozzle size: 0.0017~0.025" ## Construction Precautions ⚠️ 1. Mix base and hardener uniformly in specified ratio before adding thinner. 2. Thoroughly remove all surface contaminants including moisture, grease, rust, sludge and dust from substrates. 3. Construction is allowed in enclosed spaces; adequate ventilation accelerates film drying. Clean all coating tools immediately with clean water after use. 4. This product has no obvious gel time, finish construction within the specified pot life. 5. Avoid construction on rainy days or when relative humidity exceeds 85%RH. 6. Sand the coating surface if recoating interval exceeds specified time to improve interlayer adhesion. 7. The base component is solvent-free epoxy resin; do not pour thinner directly into the base can. 8.
