# HIGH SOLIDS MODIFIED EPOXY COATING RAINBOW PAINTS ## Product Code No.1061 (EP-99) ## Type Two-component high-solids maintenance anti-corrosion coating formulated with modified epoxy resin and rust conversion anti-corrosion pigments. ## Application Multi-purpose primer & finish for concrete, galvanized steel, bridges, steel frames, storage tanks, pipelines and all iron & steel structures. ## Properties 1. Low solvent content, low environmental hazard, ideal maintenance coating 2. Contains penetrating rust converter; excellent penetration into rust layers, tightly bonds rust to steel substrates 3. High solids content, can be topcoated with all standard coating systems 4. Hard, tough film with outstanding abrasion resistance 5. Excellent water, seawater and chemical resistance 6. Good performance under alternating hot & cold cycles, suitable for CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) service conditions 7. Certain colors may fade under high temperature, but this will not affect the coating’s physical properties ## Specification Data - Gloss: Flat - Color: Silver Grey and various custom colors - Specific Gravity: ≥1.4 kg/L (mixed paint); Silver variant ≥1.10 kg/L - Viscosity: 100~130 KU (25°C) - Drying Time - Tack-free: Within 6 hours (25°C) - Hard dry: Within 20 hours - Full cure: 7 days (25°C) - Recoating Interval: Min. 14 hours, Max. 72 hours - Pot Life: 2 hours at 25°C / 5 hours at 40°C - Film Thickness: Wet film 125~250 μm, Dry film 70~100 μm - Total DFT per coat: 70~100 μm - Theoretical Coverage: 8.0 m²/Gal, 12.8 m²/L, 8.5 m²/kg (@70~100μm dry film) - Volume Solids: 80% (mixed paint; 88% for silver grade, varies by color) - Thinner: No.1005 Thinner SP-12 - Thinner Dosage: 5~10% by weight ## Compatible Substrates & Primers - Steel: No.1011 Inorganic Zinc Primer (IZ-01) - Concrete: No.1073 Clear Epoxy Sealer ## Compatible Topcoats: ULI Topcoat, Rainbow full range topcoats, fluorocarbon finish ## Storage Stability: Minimum 3 years under normal storage ## Application Methods Brush Coating, Air Spray, Airless Spray, Roller Coating ## Construction Precautions ⚠️ 1. Fully remove moisture, grease, sludge, rust and corrosive salts from substrate surfaces before application. 2. Dilute base with designated thinner thoroughly first before adding hardener. 3. Avoid construction when dew, rain or relative humidity exceeds 85%RH; fully dry damp surfaces prior to coating. 4. If single-pass wet film exceeds 80μm, bubbling may occur; control film thickness during spraying. 5. Finish full curing for 7 days at ambient temperature after application; cured film will not crack under hot-cold alternating cycles up to 300°C. ## Note All datasheet data are internal laboratory test results for construction reference only.
