# HIGH-SOLIDS AMINE-CURED EPOXY RAINBOW PAINTS ## Product Code No.4556 (EP-4556E) ## Type Two-component high-solids tank lining coating cured by amine epoxy resin, matched with anti-corrosion pigments, fully compliant with MIL-C-4556E standard. ## Application Internal lining for steel tanks storing fresh water, alkaline water, brine, petrochemical feedstock, gasoline; also anti-corrosion coating for concrete, bridges, steel frames and factory steel structures. ## Properties 1. Tough, flexible film with strong adhesion 2. Excellent resistance to fresh water, seawater and chemicals 3. Superior resistance to abrasion, aviation fuel JP-4, JP-8 and petroleum oils 4. Low VOC, high-solids formulation ## Specification Data - Color: White, Ivory White - Hiding Power: ≥15 m²/L (mixed paint) - Specific Gravity: ≥1.45 kg/L (mixed paint) - Viscosity: 75~90 KU (25°C) - Drying Time - Tack-free: Within 5 hours (25°C) - Hard dry: Within 18 hours (25°C) - Full cure: 7 days (25°C) - Film Thickness: Wet film 135 μm, Dry film 100 μm - Theoretical Coverage: 7.4 m²/L, 5.1 m²/kg - Recoating Interval: Minimum 16 hours - Volume Solids: 74% (mixed paint) - Pot Life: 4 hours (mixed paint at 25°C) - Thinner: No.1005 Thinner SP-12 - Thinner Dosage: 5~15% by weight (brush/roller: 5~10%; airless spray: 10~15%) - Surface Preparation Standard: SSPC-Sa 2½ - Storage Stability: Minimum 3 years under normal storage ## Application Methods Brush Coating, Roller Coating, Airless Spray ## Construction Precautions ⚠️ 1. Mix base and hardener evenly as specified, stand 10~20 minutes for reaction before use. 2. Fully remove moisture, grease, sludge, dust, rust and corrosive salts from substrate surfaces. 3. Avoid construction when temperature below 10°C or relative humidity exceeds 85%RH; fully dry damp surfaces before application. 4. Full ventilation is mandatory during tank interior construction. 5. Clean all tools immediately after use. 6. Single-pass wet film over 160 μm easily causes bubbling; control film thickness during spraying. 7.
